THE RYDER CUP – SPANISH STYLE

IT’S ALL OVER… THEY HAVE WAIVED THE WHITE FLAG… THE SOUTH LONDON TEAM HAVE GIVEN UP… THEY ALREADY FEAR THAT EVEN WITH OUR TEAM ALL PLAYING LEFT-HANDED WE WOULD STILL BEAT THEM… SHAME ON YOU FOR GIVING UP!!!

There is no bigger tournament in the year than the Ryder Cup.

A tournament played between two rival societies both with a passion for winning and claiming the title. Only 14 men compete to take the honour and respect from this grudge derby. Those that lose know that their fate has been sealed for the next 12 months… so the stakes are high and so is the quality of the golf.

From North London, six-time winners of the tournament and defending champions – Club Español de Golf.

From South London, the challengers – Croydon Spanish Golf Society.

The tournament is played over two legs (home and away) where one leg is four ball better ball matchplay and the other leg is singles matchplay. All competitors play off of scratch so the matches come down to who has the best game – a fight… “mano a mano”.
